An artist site has one job: get someone from a link to the music with as little in between as possible. Everything else is decoration that costs load time.
Approach
The release page is the landing page. Streaming links resolve to the visitor’s platform rather than presenting a wall of logos, artwork is preloaded at the size it will render, and there is no interstitial, no splash, and no autoplay.
Typography and imagery carry the identity, and there is no ornament layer to maintain, which means the site does not drift out of date between releases.
Outcome
A Next.js site that adds a release in one edit and stays fast because there is very little of it. The measure of success here is that visitors leave quickly, for the right reason.
